WHO: We’re six (and counting!) ladies with a passion for Asia!  soguigui, imateakettle, hayashicari, and chokyulatte are Taiwanese, and dorodoro and enabean are Cantonese.

WHY: We’re here to provide you with short and sweet articles on Asian entertainment from all over Asia, primarily from the countries of Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, and the city of Hong Kong.

THE WRITERS

• Hey guys, my name’s Sophie aka soguigui. I’m extremely YG biased. I love BIGBANG, BEAST, Infinite, 2NE1, MBLAQ, Jay Chou, Anthony Neely, and the list goes on.. I’m a proud Taiwanese and I’m currently chilling in CA. :)
  
• Hihihi it’s dorodoro !  A passionate Kpop lover and overall Asian entertainment enthusiast.  A proud canto (hongkong-ers ftw!).  Loveslovesloves improvising on the piano and working on half-done compositions, and singing vocal covers even though she doesn’t sing that well == Enjoys reading shoujo manga and watching romantic kdramas <3  Biases?  Super Junior’s Donghae and Yesung, SHINee’s Jonghyun and Key, SNSD’s Taeyeon and Sooyoung, Taeyang, Jay Park, C.N. Blue’s Jung Yong Hwa, and last of all, LEE SEUNG GI!  dorodoro also enjoys watching Hong Kong dramas and screaming at the TV while playing Super Mario Brothers Wii with her little brother.
• Looking for enabean? Which one? Oh, the one who devours music like a beast and has this thing for chocolate abs? I see. I don’t know her exact whereabouts, but lemme tell you a thing or two about her first. Well, she’s a proud ABC, for sure, so her first language is English. She likes to converse in Cantonese, since her parents are from Hong Kong but finds her Mandarin a bit accented, though people say she doesn’t. Caught between becoming a graphic designer and a multilingual translator, she’s settled down for the time being to be the one who posts most of the K-Indie and Hip-Hop articles of A Pop! of Asia.
  
• HayashiCari, known to have a variety of obsessions, spends most of her free time on the computer watching asian dramas, looking at asian celebrities’ updates, downloading icons and pictures, listening to music, and chatting with friends. She is into Japanese and Korean entertainment, but has more of an interest in Japan. Who’s her favorite celebrity, you ask? There is no direct answer. Miura Haruma, Yamashita Tomohisa, Koyama Keiichiro, Kamenashi Kazuya, Sakurai Sho, Maki, Aragaki Yui, Toda Erika, and more. She’s even fallen in love with Echizen Ryoma, a fictional character in The Prince of Tennis, before.
