In a recent interview with Newsen, Yejun told us he “lost about 12-15kg” and “I managed not to collapse physically but (in spirit) I did.”

While in a period of not promoting and their activities was being monitored it was decided that F.CUZ’s members needed to urgently diet so the members all started trying to lose weight. Yejun himself “had the focus of my meals being salad or fruit”. 

Yejun revealed that “after having removed almost all meat from my food I started developing symptoms that were similar to anorexia” and “After I was allowed meat again I still thought that if I’d eat meat I’d get fat again so I deliberately tried throwing up”. Continuing he also said “Since starting activities again I’ve become able to eat normally without gaining weight” and “I wouldn’t be able to stand starving like that again” and laughed. 

F.CUZ’s diet was very similar to a ‘war against meat’. Every morning we weighed ourselves with a competitive spirit. “We lied about our weight and became motivated by each others’ results, inspiring us to eat even less. It became a more violent “battle” than if we would have compared ourselves to another group. If I look back our results were almost the same”.

Selina Ren of S.H.E was seriously injured during an accident on the set of her new drama in Shanghai.

HIM records posted the following message on their website:

Thanks for everyone’s concern about Selina’s injury during the filming of her drama!
This afternoon, Selina received burns from an accident while filming an explosion scene in Shanghai. Her condition is currently stable after she has been taken to the hospital. She is currently resting.
Please don’t worry! Executives from the company, her dad and Ah Chong (her fiancé) have flown to Shanghai right away. They will give Selina the best medical treatment and care. Her two pals were also notified immediately. Since they already have activities scheduled for tomorrow, Hebe and Ella will gather themselves up and complete their tasks.
Thank you for everyone’s concern, and please give Selina your best wishes.”

Selina was in Shanghai to film the TV adaptation of the 1994 movie “I have a date with spring”. She and co-star Yu Hao Ming (俞灝明) were shooting an explosion scene on the morning of the 22nd. According to news sources, Yu noticed something went wrong and tried to shield her from the accident. He was said to have suffered even more serious burns as a result.

According to Derek Shih, Selina is suffering from 3rd degree burns on her arms, legs and back which will require skin grafts. Her family and doctors are discussing the possibility of transporting her back to Taiwan for further treatment. They have submitted a request with the International SOS.

The accident happened around 4PM on the 22nd. The explosives went off early during a scene which resulted in the accident. They rehearsed 6 to 7 times prior to filming without any problems. On rumors of the seriously injured Yu Hao Ming, Shih asked fans to refrain from visiting the hospital and pray for the two actors instead.

On October 20th, Shim Entertainment revealed that Uhm Jung Hwa underwent thyroid cancer surgery this past May. During a full body check-up, the hospital found a small tumor and Uhm Jung Hwa was hospitalized for three days and discharged. She is currently reported to be cured and rehabilitating.

The official stated, “We had discovered it early, it wont affect her role in Superstar K2 or future works.”

Uhm Jung Hwa won the Best Female Actress Award for “Best Seller” at Chunsan Film Festival and will pick her next work after Superstar K2.

Over the past few months, there have been speculations on whether or not MC Mong has been dodging his draft for 7 years by purposely taking out his teeth. As draft-dodging is considered a serious crime in Korea, an investigation was carried out to examine the accusations.

On the 10th, the Seoul Metropolitan police agency stated, “Using three reasons, which were: applying for the grade 7 civil service exam, occupational training, and overseas travels, MC Mong delayed his military enlistment 7 times between the years 1999 and 2006. During the two times he delayed his draft for his civil service exam application, he filmed a movie, released albums and participated in other vigorous activities.”

In regards to whether MC Mong deceitfully dodged his military service, the police responded, “We confirmed the truth behind the removal of his teeth”.

According to the police, when MC Mong received his first physical examination in August 1998, his teeth were reported to be in perfect condition. However back in 2007 when his exemption from military service was made due to the lacking of teeth, he had a total of 12 teeth missing. Although MC Mong is insistent that it was all due to tooth decay, it was confirmed that out of the 12 that were taken out, he purposely took out 4 extra in order to fail his teeth examination.

MC Mong claimed twice in the police investigation, “Because the enlistment/delay is done by my entertainment company I’m not too sure, but my teeth were never in good condition due to tooth decay.” However the police representative stated, “We have no plans to summon MC Mong a second time. He will soon be indicted without physical restraint.”

In the recent episode of MBC every1 ‘Idol Maid’, Yang Yoseob and the members had visited the clinic for their skin and throat examinations due to the recommendations maid Shin Bongsun gave.

Before the examination of the throat, Yang Yoseob stated, “I’m worried about the results because my voice doesn’t come out well in the recording for the new album.” He and everyone else were surprised when the results showed that he was diagnosed with laryngitis, vocal nodules, and reflux esophagitis.

Yang Yoseob’s nose was swelled up compared to others and it was going to develop into a worse condition then it was when he was in the dry weather. The doctor stated, “You are really lucky to have this discovered in the earlier stages. It would be fine if we cure it little by little watching your condition as well.”

Cube Entertainment stated that the 3rd album comeback was halted right after the recording of ‘Idol Maid’ and Yang Yoseob had gone through surgery. Currently Yang Yoseob finished his surgery and is recovering very fast.

After their recent single release [Stop (Money Can’t Buy Me Love)], hip-hop girl duo Blacklist, recently revealed that member Cheetah (Kim EunYoung) underwent artificial brain death surgery prior to the group’s debut.

Lead member and rapper Cheetah, dropped out of high school and headed for Seoul with aspirations to become a singer when she was 17. During this time, she suffered a car accident, and was sent to the emergency room.

As she was bleeding excessively in the head, she had to undergo an artificial brain death surgery, which requires the patient to be completely anesthetized, except for the heart. As a result, there was a slim chance of survival.

Cheetah was very lucky to have had successful surgery and she recalled her memories of being hospitalized.

“After my accident, I had to have a respirator in my throat, so my voice changed. No matter how much I screamed, my old voice would not come back, so I would yell and yell crying… Every night, I would go to the roof of the hospital and sing until my voice would become hoarse. There were rumors amongst the other patients, saying that I had lost my mind after my surgery.”

Cheetah stayed in the hospital for a full year.

After her recovery, she began preparations with current member Lucy for a year and a half before they became known as hip-hop duo Blacklist, the “second Tashannie.” They stand out from other female groups because of their boyish and tight singing and outstanding stage manner on public music programs.
